How to reach Bertinoro

Bertinoro is situated halfway between Forlì and Cesena, 6 km away from SS9 (Via Emilia), immediately east from Forlimpopoli.

Highway

Driving from Bologna: take Forlì exit on A-14 highway and follow the signals for Cesena-Forlimpopoli-Bertinoro.
Driving from Rimini: take Cesena Nord exit on A-14 highway, then follow E45 street to Rome till Cesena Ovest exit. Turn right on SS9 (Via Emilia), towards Forlì-Bologna. Follow signals for Bertinoro.

Railway

Use the Bologna-Rimini line and alight at Forlì. Taxis are generally waiting outside the station: if not, hail one by phone +39 0543 31111. There is also a bus service to Bertinoro, though its frequency can vary. Confusingly, there is a Forlimpopoli-Bertinoro station, but it has very few services, taxis may not be available, and is not recommended.

Bus service

Line nr.92 from Bus Point (close to the railway station), get off at Forlimpopoli and catch a second bus, line nr.121, towards Bertinoro.

Plane

The closest and most convenient airport to the University Center of Bertinoro is Bologna (BLQ), about 80 km away. Taxis take about 90 minutes. There is a direct train from the airport to Bologna Central Station from where you can catch a direct train to Forlì (see the "railway" section above for details).

Rimini Airport (RMN) is 40 km away from Bertinoro. Available for some European flights.

Milan Malpensa airport is around 3.5 hours away. There are direct trains from Milan to Forlì.

The Rome airports are around 4 hours away. You need to switch on the train at Bologna.
